About Glass Doors

Glass doors or a Flue Sentinel electronic damper are required by code when installing gas logs. If your existing fireplace doesn't already have glass doors, we offer a wide range of styles, finishes and mounting options. If you prefer the look of an open hearth, check out the Flue Sentinel, which electronically opens and closes your chimney's damper in conjunction with the operation of your gas logs. It's an energy-efficient way to avoid having to use glass doors. Designed primarily for use in new construction, the Flue Sentinel is an ideal complement to a woodburning fireplace being converted to gas.
